IIFA AWARDS : JODHAA AKBAR Shines with 10 Awards

IIFA AWARDS : In a glitterating ceremony at Macau, China, Saturday night, Ashutosh Gowariker's historical romance "JODHAA AKBAR" clean bowled everybody and won a total of 10 trophies during the 10th International Indian Film Acadmey (IIFA) awards 2009.

"SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE" Kids sparkle at IIFA, Macau

The dream run of SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE kids continue, now during the ongoing International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) event at Macau.

Three child stars Tanay Chheda, Ashutosh Lobo & Tanvi of the multiple Oscar winning movie 'Slumdog Millionaire' were the stars who stole the limelight as they walked the green carpet at the IIFA event on Thursday evening.

Tanvi said "We are extremely excited about being here at the IIFA. We'll get to meet so many stars While .

Surprisingly the lead kids Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail and Rubina Ali Qureshi could not be seen at the event.

It may be recalled that the Wax figure which is dressed in a traditional black sherwani suit with a embroidery filled gold and black shawl, is the first figure to be part of all-new Bollywood Zone at Madame Tussauds New York's .

The wax figure was placed in the centre of the green carpet on the first day of the event.

Amitabh Bachchan the brand ambassador of IIFA, his son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan posed with the statue alongwith various Celebrities, dignitaries and even some members from the audience.

AISHWARYA RAI BACHCHAN TO PERFORM AT IIFA AWARDS 2009, MACAU

The much awaited 10th IDEA IIFA (The International Indian Film Academy) Awards will be showcased in exotic city of MACAU at The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel, during June 11-13 .

This was announced at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai on April 28, 2009 by IIFA Brand Ambassador Amitabh Bachchan.

And Big B''s daughter-in-law AISHWARYA RAI BACHCHAN will perform during the awards nite on June 13, it may be recalled that Aish had also performed at IIFA in Amsterdam in 2005. Also performing at the show will be Sonam Kapoor, who will make her debut on stage, and Kareena Kapoor.

The IIFA award ceremony has travelled across various continents from London, Yorkshire and Amsterdam in Europe, Johannesberg & Sun City in South Africa and Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai & Bangkok in Asia.
