RAM GOPAL VARMA'S "JANN GANN MANA RANN" IS IN TROUBLE
It seems Ram Gopal Varma and Controversy go side by side. Ramu is again in news for a song titled "JANN GANN MANA RANN" which features in his forthcoming Hindi film RANN, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Reitesh Deshmukh, Paresh Rawal, Rajat Kapoor, Neetu Chandra, Mohnish Behl and Gul Panag. Big B essays the role of Harshavardhan Malik, Head of News channel India24/7 and Reitesh Deshmukh plays an Investigative Journalist.
Well the controversy is that Ram Gopal Varma has been accused of distorting the National Anthem "JANA GANA MANA" for commercial interest and has played with the sentiments of general public. As a result, Supreme Court & Censor Board has banned the controversial song from being further aired on TV or Radio.
